“Watch Do not Be a Menace to South Central Whereas Ingesting Your Juice within the Hood” (usually abbreviated as “Do not Be a Menace”) is a 1996 American comedy movie directed by Paris Barclay, written by the Wayans brothers (Keenen Ivory, Shawn, and Marlon), and starring the latter two as two pals dwelling in South Central Los Angeles. The movie parodies the type of “hood movies” and different in style black movies of the time, corresponding to “Boyz n the Hood” and “Menace II Society”.
The movie was a important and business success, grossing over $60 million on the field workplace towards a manufacturing price range of $3.5 million. It has since grow to be a cult traditional, and has been praised for its sharp wit and social commentary.
